Network Engineer
International leader seeks excellent Network Engineer to further their
dynamic growth. Person will:
-Lead and coordinate implementation of network architecture
-Configure and maintain routers.
-Design TCP/IP networks.
-Prepare site administration documentation to establish security and
integrity standards and controls
-Evaluate and test hardware, software and network configurations for use
within the business environment
-Document the design/architecture and configuration of all network systems
-Work with remote site administrators and IT Managers in order to implement
a consistent network-wide environment within the business organization
-Conduct training for administrators in applications and assists to provide
instruction to further the understanding of Network functions to include,
routing, switching and VoIP systems
-Configure and install Network equipment, VoIP systems, and security systems
-Install third-party software as part of a Cisco networking infrastructure
-Work with TCP/IP and non-TCP/IP networking protocols in order to program
and debug at the network level
-Defines protocols and setups of multiple routers within a WAN environment.
Schedules and conducts routine analyses of the systems for performance
tuning purposes
General Requirements:
-Must have experience designing and implementing PC LAN and WAN network for
a large site containing UNIX-based servers, Windows Systems, and Novell
Systems.
-Experience with frame relay and MPLS protocols for a WAN
-Solid knowledge with TCP/IP and non-TCP/IP networking protocols for
Internet and Intranet along with SMTP
-Familiarity with security systems for remote sites, SNMP
-Expertise with firewalls, deploying authentication systems and applying
cryptography to network applications
-Expertise in the configuration and maintenance of routers up to and
including (Cisco) VoIP systems
-Skilled in the design and implementation of a complex LAN and WAN
- Experience within a Novell environment using NetWare 6.5 and SUSE Linux.
Education:
A Bachelor**s degree in a technical degree area such as, Computer Science
would be preferred. Previous work experience as a Systems Engineer would be
beneficial.
Minimum of a CCVP certification level or 4 years of VOIP
configuration/maintenance background
Travel:
Position requires travel to other business locations throughout North
America (Up to 25%)
