Gupta,
           While we are on this topic(bgp and next-hop) we might as well
understand it to it's depth. EBGP changes the next hop whereas IBGP does not
unless you explicitly specify.There are cases where ebgp does not modify the
next hop, just like IBGP!!! Yes, and the case is when EBGP peers are part of
a confederations. I am sure you will run into this issue as well at some
point. I thought I would mention it even though it was not what you were
looking for.
