Just like in IPv4, it will depend on what you are using it for and how
you're using it.
The broadcast keyword determines which PVCs are capable of receiving
broadcast/multicast messages. And based on flow of traffic, will either
send (or not send) messages down that way.
If you are all in the same subnet (like ipv4 scenarios) then you only need
broadcast enabled on one of the group, and the PVC is "tagged" for that
subnet + 255.255.255.255.
In IPv6, things are a little strange, but if you are concerned, put a very
large buffer on your logging. Then turn off console logging. Then do
"debug ipv6 packet". After a while, do "show log | include failed" and see
if anything got the encaps failed message. If so, perhaps you are too
restrictive on how you have broadcast enabled.
While having MORE than necessary isn't the end of the world, it's perhaps a
higher CPU/resource utilization than is necessary. Won't do any harm on the
lab, but in the real world you may stress your networks out more than
necessary.

Subject: RE: Broadcast key word with IPV6 frame-relay MAPPING
Guys-
At networkers 2007, I have asked this question from Cisco IPV6 Technical
team, and the answer was with the global unicast IP, I'm going through the
same trouble, IE and IP experts books, some places it is with Link-local and
in some books it is with Global unicast address................ what if we
add it with both ????? in the real lab exam.....will it cost any one the
points ??????
