The solution files that I show (which should be the same as on the download
section of your ipexpert account) reflect RIPv1. The lab alludes to that
and the PG specifically notes this as the solution.

In the real lab today, it is doubtful you would get a requirement like this
as Maurillio has stated specifically in the "Ask the Expert" forums that
RIPv2 is the only version tested on. Now, you may still need to use
"auto-summary" which we are all in a habit of turning off! but RIPv1 should
not be on the real lab exam.

If you can, e-mail me the config files from this lab that you have, I'm
interested in the file dates and such. Just unicast me as I don't think GS
accepts attachments.

In lab30 in RIP section they ask us to:
All routing updates should not contain subnet mask information.

I guess this is direct order not to use version 2!
but in solutions there is version 2 used anyway.
