Can someone verify my understanding of QoS trust?

If you trust the CoS on an interface= CoS is preserved and DSCP is auto
generated via cos-dscp mapping.

If you trust DSCP on an interface= The frame CoS in set via the dscp-cos
and DSCP is preserved.

Is this correct? If not, set me on the straight.
