  SW1#erase flash
  SW1#vlan.dat
SW1# (then try to create ur vlan)

However, I cannot get the vlan.dat to save between sessions. I notice
when
the vlan.dat is created it says invalid checksum?
Then it is gone after rebooting Dyanmips?

    Please Help!
