Dear SG,

Does anyone know of any best practices when using IP unnumbered?

For instance I have the following:

            Serail1/0---R5---Ethernet----SW1----Ethernet

Now serial 1/0 on R5 is OSPF area 0

Between R5 and SW1 is area 57 which is a stub.

The other Ethernet on SW1 is area 0

I need to create a tunnel between R5 and SW1 and I need to use IP
unnumbered on the tunnel interface.

Are there certain criteria for which address you use for the IP
unnumbered?
