In some instances it helps to change the [localhost] setting to the IP of
the machine.
Also you can check things like firewall etc - and making sure that the
dynamips hypervisor is actually listening on the socket you're trying to
open (port 7200 by default).

Make sure you have an entry in your /etc/hosts file for the loppback (
127.0.0.1). This is where I would start.
