vrrp - half duplex

Hi,

Do we have to go into HALF duplex when we enable VRRP on a router's
interface ?

That is what IE does in its lab Vol 1 for vrrp, version 4.1.

I was trying to figure out why, and couldn't come out with an explanation.
I tryed on my routers and vrrp did work without going into "half-duplex"
