Hi Julio,
This is the usage guideline from the DocCD Command Ref:
"Usage Guidelines
Use the ip pim autorp listener command with interfaces configured for PIM
sparse mode operation in order to establish a network configuration where
Auto-RP operates in PIM dense mode and multicast traffic can operate in
sparse mode, bidirectional mode, or Source Specific Multicast (SSM) mode."
As far as I know, this command has no impact on the Auto RP election
process, which is just based on highest IP amongst RPs claiming a given
group or range.
Regards,
Scott

Subject: Multicast Autorp RP-election process
Hello Group,
I have a silly trouble.
If you have all your router configured with Sparse-mode, and autorp
listener,
and there are two routers claiming to be the RP for the same group (with ip
pim send-rp-announce), What router will become the RP for the group ??
Thanks,
Julio
