Hey guys,
Having just paid for my lab in Tokyo, I figured I'd quickly share what I
found out, to save anyone else who will do the same in future the
hassles I went through - as Tokyo only accepts wire transfers, it's a
little trickier than usual.
* While the PDF on the Cisco website says the fee for the exam is
157,500 Yen, this is actually the OLD fee - the new fee is 176,400 Yen,
but this appears to be only documented on the Japanese language sections
of the site. I've emailed Cisco asking them to update it.
* The PDF on the Cisco website says to instruct the receiving bank to
debit charges from the payer account - this did not work (at least for
me). However, I've found out that the receiving bank charges a fixed
2,500 Yen fee for handling the wire transfer.
Thus, if you do a wire transfer of 176,400 + 2,500 = 178,900 Yen, your
payment should be accepted without any issues, and your lab slot
guaranteed. And you won't have to send multiple wire transfers like I
did :)
Hope this helps someone else out!
