Yeah, I used notepad constantly throughout my lab attempts (almost as
much as the '?' key). :)

Don't fret about the aliases. I've heard proctors ask you to remove
them
(to make sure not to mess up the grading script), but this shouldn't be
a
big deal....

Whatever aliases you like to work with, use 'em. Put them in notepad,
copy/paste to EVERY device so that you have consistency.

At the end of the day, go to that notepad file and Ctrl-H for
find/replace
and change "alias" to "no alias" then cut/paste that again to every
device
and POOF, no more aliases.

10 seconds work. Shift-Insert is the keyboard shortcut for pasting in
SecureCRT!

Worry about the important things!

Just my two cents....

I definitely wouldn't want to leave any aliases on the devices. It
certainly
won't help your score any.

Having extra configs in the devices can be a good/bad thing. If you
can't
figure out how to do something and it will effect multiple parts of the
lab
later, and you have an alternative method of doing it (even if the
instructions say not too), I suggest doing it, and just losing the few
points for the unallowed config, vs. losing all the points because
everything down the chain that followed wouldn't work either.
(That is probably the longest sentence I've typed; ever!)

Importance: Low

When in doubt, I suggest erring on the side of making the proctors life
easier.
