I used to be in the same situation but this actually sorted me out for good!
If you have ever done any calculus in ur previous endeavours,
Delta = dy/dx or dy/dt or dv/dt = rate of change
For any value that is measured as a rate (ie. value per time (or any
other divisor)), it is a Delta type....
Hope this clears u up... i know it did me!
