My advice for CCIE study is quite counter-intuitive - Study Less

But really focus the time you are spending. When you are sucking up
knowlege in general subjects (reading books, taking online courses, etc)
it is fine to do 4 hours a night. You need to get all that stuff in your
head for the first time, and it is alright to overload. (I believe that
you don't really learn something until you experience it three times. So
for this phase I recommend 4 hours a day / night of reading / digital
grazing.

Once you have grazed over all the knowledge that pertains to your CCIE
it is time to start preparing on point technologies. During this study
time you will be going very deep on individual things. It can be very
mentally frustrating, and sometimes if you don't step back.. you miss
the forest for the trees. For this phase I recommend three 4 hour
evening sessions a week.

Finally you will come to the point where integration of technologies,
and speed become your goal. Your goal is to run through labs as quick as
possible. I personally feel that 2 - 3 six hour lab slots sprinkled
throughout the week give you the best chance to work on your speed,
without burning yourself out.

Remember, you brain is just like any other organ in your body. You need
to give it time to rest, or it wont work at its full potential.
