It is called a "negative auto-rp announcement". Results from "deny"
statements in your group-list ACL. It's one way to force groups to remain in
Dense Mode.

Subject: "sh ip pim rp mapping" output ???

Hi All,

For a while there was a mail on this but I am not able to find it, although
I searched for it a while.

When I make a SH IP PIM RP MAPPING command, what does the output starting
with followings mean:

(-) 224.0.0.0/4 ..........
........
.......

What is the meaning of that (-) at start?

I appreciate any help on this.

Thanks, Oez
