Hi,
Try splitting the practice lab into two or more sessions - do the
routing/switching bits, stop - save configs.
Then next time, load up your saved configs and start fresh on the
QoS, etc. I usually save configs for all my
labs at certain key points, then I can reload the routers to practice
whatever feature I want for that lab.
I personally don't put a lot of effort into pounding through any
practice lab against the clock.
I will usually end up doing one lab over a period of several days,
maybe a week.
Gasp, shock, horror....but for me, as I do a practice lab, I spend a
lot of time analyzing debugs, throwing in some what ifs,
tweak with things, try to understand what is happening and why, etc.
As soon as my brain says enough - time for a break,
I leave it and come back to it later.
You don't lose any points for not completing the practice lab in
under 8 hours....
IMHO, your aim should be to learn the technology, not beat the clock.
Beating the clock will take care of itself when you master the
technology.
HTH,
Steve
