Forget discussing the real lab here. There is an NDA so I wont comment on
the real lab.

In the IE workbooks however, sometimes you are FORBIDDEN from using
"ip ospf network point-to-point" on the loopbacks or it just says
"do not use the "ip ospf network" command to complete this task"

Your cue then should be

Route-map CONN->OSPF permit 10
Match int loop0

Router ospf 1
Redistribute connected subnets route-map CONN->OSPF

The redistributed E2/E1 route will have the shorter mask.

  During the lab real or vendor labs when the question ask to advertise
loopback interface into OSPF domain. should i configure ip ospf network
point-to-point under the loopback or just leave it alone till the question
