Hi Adham

Obvously, I will shutdown all the port channel port first, when I finished
created the port-channel, then no shutdown the port. It is because, when you
are not shutdown the port when creating the port-channel. One side of the
swich is port-channel (trunk), the other side (other switch) is not the same
type (trunk). It will cause the problem due to the spanning-tree.

Thanks

David

Subject: l2ptguard error detected !!!!!

Dear all,

We need to create an Etherchannel between SW1 FE0/19 and FE0/20 to SW3
FE0/19 and FE0/20 using tunneling according to the below setup!

  SW1 (FE0/19) ---------- (FE0/13) SW4 (FE0/19)--------------- (FE0/19) SW3
  SW1 (FE0/21) ---------- (FE0/15) SW4 (FE0/21)--------------- (FE0/21) SW3

In the same time we need to create a normal Dot1Q trunk between SW1-SW4
and SW4-SW3

  SW1 (FE0/20) ---------- (FE0/14) SW4
  SW4 (FE0/20)----------- (FE0/20) SW3

So when i answer this question i receive "l2ptguard error detected " in
SW4 and its interfaces change to "errdisable" state!!

Did any body answered this question successfully?....do you know why i
receive this error and what is missing or how can i fix it?.....

  Thank you in advance!

  Regards,
  Adham...
