Hi guys!
+1 fact for a new switch - Cisco plans to move their IOS on per-machine-ID
(an activation key bound to the switch/router's serial number).
With one ebay-baught HW You probably won't have sw updates in future, maybe
a near future.
Just my 2Cents
Cheers, Alex

Instead of buying second hand,
you may look into Cisco 3560 with 8 port POE switch. Does everything except
the port density is less.
The RRP here in Australia is only $ 2200 AUD. Second hand 3550 on ebay are
available on 1100-1400 AUD.
So better off with buying a brand new switch.
Yes, of course you will get some discount on $2200 ......with discount its
worthwhile buying new switch (what I think).
