Hi Sadiq,

AFAIK, 224.0.1.40 is the reserved Cisco-RP-Discovery address. It is the
address to which the Auto-RP mapping agent sends the list of group-to-RP
mappings in RP-Discovery messages to the PIM-SM domain. All PIM-SM routers
listen for this address.

Can anyone provide a more detailed explanation, especially why this mroute
entry is rooted at the static RP that we define?
