I totally agree with that. The foundational knowledge of the different
topics is an absolute must.
The reason why I would go for IE is that the volume 3 will give you a wide
range of L2/L3 configuration challenges and is designed to give you speed
and accuracy. The volume 2 is in total 20 8-hour labs of which some go
beyond the difficulty of the actual lab. Also the free solutions guide will
give you a lot of background into the reasoning of the answer and reference
materials.
Reading the story it seems that there is either a difficulty thoroughly
understanding the technology or a difficulty understanding the question. I
think IE would be very beneficial for both. Plus the pricing is excellent. (
