CTA agent errors

All,

I have been wrestling with getting the Cisco Trust Agent to accept my
ACS certificate, but no matter what I try:

@cmd: ctacert.exe /add c:\mycerts\ACS.cer /store "root"

I get a Windows popup stating:

"Cisco Systems Trust Agent Certificate has encountered a problem and
needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience"...blah, blah, blah.

I've tried both of the CTA agent downloads, reinstallation, reboot, etc.

I've tried regenerating cert/keys in acs with different names, different
key lengths, different ou, etc, all to no avail. I really need to get
the CTA to accept the certificate for NAC.

Any ideas?
