Thanks for the message and ok (Martin, I reply to labgroup only too....) :-)

I have actually tried all on that page, but to no avail. If u notice,
mine are not actually the Compact Flash, but the ATA/Linear Flash,
which I think are the older ones.

The 3640 does support a "format" command... :s
