A 3640 is less expensive initially - but a 2611XM is
expandable to 256MB Ram and 48MB flash whereas a 3640 has a
max of 128/32. As such I would expect you can get more life
out of a 2611XM. If you intend on not owning it longer than
8 months then you would be fine with the less expensive
3640. If you need it for a longer term and want to be able
to run future IOS versions than purchase the XM.
