Navin, I think it is better to use the first method, you use source vlan
in RSPAN config on second switch when you have specified the destination
as vlan 10 on first switch. So in my opinion its better to use first
method.

Subject: RSPAN using Source VLAN

Group,

I have read and configured this, but really couldn't get the real
difference.

Task is to collect traffic on vlan 10 and send it to another device over
RSPAN vlan. which of the
2 is better to collect traffic on vlan 10?

1) monitor session 1 source vlan 10

            or

2) monitor session 1 filter vlan 10

Both seem to does the same. Any inputs ?
Naveen.
