Im my opinion, both are correct but in this case i would prefer the 1st
method. Maybe it would be better to check with the proctor if they have any
preference.

advertise loopback 0 interfaces of R1 in the OSPF domain without using
network command and R1 has 3 areas: 0,27,34 what would be correct :
1. just pick an area and use ip ospf 1 area x under the interface, for
example:
Int lo0
ip ospf 1 area 0
or
2. use redistribute connected
router ospf 1
redistribute connected route-map CONN->OSPF
route-map CONN->OSPF permit 10
match interface lo0
