Hi,

It was a split horizon issue , moved BSR to R1 which is the hub
router and it functions now

BSR can fall victom to split horizon issues. Make sure your BSR is on
the hub of the fr.

        Have you tried to enable pim on the loopback interfaces ?
        Have you checked IGP connectivity between the loopbacks ?
        Do you have ip multicast-routing enabled on both routers ?
        R4 and R5 are seeing each other as PIM neighbors ?
