If you make changes to an Instance in MST, the ST recalculation will
affect all VLANs within the instance. Depending on what switch you're
using CPU might not be an issue. My choice would be rapid-pvsp as well
as alternating the root bridge between the server-farm switches. This
way you can load balance and you have individual ST instances.
