As proctor explained to me, this depends on the team that will do the
grading. Basically,
most of the exams could be graded remotely, and almost automatically
(especially R&S).
(Then again, the Voice lab is graded practically 100% by proctor).
Back to the grading, I pereceived that they have some sort of a schedule,
assigned to
various world-wide distributed CCIE team members. Your lab could be graded
by a
guy from RTP or Dubai etc - that depends on schedule. You can ask your
proctor at
the exam, to know precisely when the results would be available.
As for mine three attempts, on the first one I got the result next morning
(R&S), for the
second one - stright on the evening of the same day (Security). The last
exam (SP) kept
me waiting the whole weekend. And that was exactly the time interval the
proctor had
"promised" me :)
