Hi; You should create a dialer interface and ATDT is the chat command to test the line from the modem:
try doining a reverse telnet on the line port of the modem connected, once you get connected you 'll be able to test the dial out with "ATDT <telephone NO to connect>"
This should work fine.

Subject: dial experts please help :modem connectivity to NM-16AMv2 problem
Hi group,
I have 2621xm router with Nm-16AMv2 module ( 16async line with 16 internal
modems) and connect one of its lines to my pc modem.
I connect to my pc modem from COM3 using hyperterminal , I want to check my
modems on NM-16Amv2 modules and in order to do that i issue atdtXXXXX
command, my question is where should I enter phone number in my router in
order to access it via my modem (what is XXXXX ,where should I configure it
on my router)?
Thanks
Sirus
