Re: frame-relay physical interface status

Correct, line protocol UP shows that your router is still able to talk
to FR Switch using LMI. This is where comes the concept of end-to-end
keepalive, if you want to monitor that if using your FR interface, are
you able to reach the destination or not. now, if you will use
end-to-end keepalive on physical interface suppose Serial0/1 and you
are using it to monitor the interface for backup purpose like backup
interface serial 0/0, now if end-to-end keepalives fail, S0/1 can not
go down, but if you use S0/1.1, then it can go down and S0/0 will come
up to be used as backup.....Please correct me if I am wrong......
