Hello All,
Is there any differece that I'm not aware between the following two commands or is this just a matter of preference??
router(config)#track 1 interface s0/0/0 ip routing
router(config-if)# standby 1 track 1 decrement 20
VS
router(config-if)#standby 1 track interface s0/0/0 20
I'm thinking that the first command track if the interface can route even though it might still be up, compare to the second command where it only tracks if the interface is down or not. So you might encounter a situation where the interface is up, but not routing and for that you might just want to switch the traffic to the peer anyway???
Thanks for the clarification.
