Adding to Ronnie's point,

In real world situations where we have to configure a remote router, and the
possibility exists that aaa will lock our access (even the authorization to
do a reload), we'll do this before implementing the aaa config:
   # wr mem
   # reload in 15
So no matter how bad you break your config and access to the router (or IOS
switch), you'll have it back w/in 15 mins + reload time.... assuming of
course no rommon intervention is necessary, and you didn't do another wr mem
since any misconfiguration. This is also useful not just for aaa configs,
but other configs that could affect your routes or access into the router
for administration.

That said, in the time crunch of the lab, I wouldn't wait 15 mins (or less)
for a reload...but "reload in 5" might reload sooner than you can get the
proctor to.
