Subject: Very strange POLICING issue
To: Cisco certification <ccielab@groupstudy.com>
Hi group,
I have encounter strange behavior when I want to police traffic.
when I configure this : police 48000 conform-rate transmit exceed-action
drop
suddenly all my traffic lost and I cannot even surf web.
but when I change value from 48000 to 56000 my network begin working but at
rate of 29000!!
when I change it to 80000 it gets better ,my average come to 70000
Is that because of TCP slow start and windowing,?
if this behavior is by-product of TCP windowing system why 48000 cut off all
my traffic but with 56000 ,I have connectivity?
