You are working in the correct order (BGP after IGP). You normally don't
want to alter IGP after BGP unless you are paying close attention to the
possibility of creating next-hop issues with BGP (i.e. IGP filtering).
As far as having BGP after IGP or at the end of the lab you always need to
be aware of any non-core topic (ACLs, QoS, etc) that can cause problems with
the core topics (IGP, BGP, etc).
