There are some very hot positions out there for people with good MPLS
experience. Not as many positions as those in the security and voice fields
though! That's probably why we don't see a mass of people going for those
certifications.
The other side is that many service providers do not put as much emphasis on
certifications per se, not like enterprises or partners do.
That doesn't mean there isn't opportunity there! So certainly go for the
things that make sense to you and are what you like to do!
Consider yourself more unique, not part of a smaller market! :)

I plan to study for service provider, I schedule for CCIP next month,
