Subject: BGP Confederation

Group,
Could any one tell me whether bgp confederation peer is mandatory for
configuring bgp confederation. For example, if R1 belongs to As 65011, R2
belongs to As 65012 and both of them belong to AS 100. If we need to have
peering between R1 & R2, I agree that BGP confederation Identifier is a
must. But is the bgp confederation peer required in this case ??

Thanks
Prem
