First vtp do not use bpdu, and it use vtp advertisement. So, S2 will ignore
it, because not in the same domain.
Best regards,

VwLb: VTP transparent mode
Group,
my understanding is that a VTP transparent switch will always forward VTP
bpdu
accross its trunk ports, even if it belongs to a different domain. In other
words:
S1 ====== S2 ====== S3
S1 and S3 belongs to the same VTP domain VTP1
S2 belongs to a different domain VTP2
I thought that S2 should pass VTP bpdu between S1 and S3 so that S1 and S3
can
stay in synch.
BUT when I labbed, it didn't work like that and S1 and S3 don't synch.
What is the real truth here?
Thanks,
Bit.
