IP accounting question

Hi All,

I would like to know more about ip accounting.
The reason why I'm asking is a _real_ question from a customer ....

For some days I have change on a cat6509 the supervisor from sups to a
SUP720
Right now the customer tell me since the change he doesn't see all the
ip packets (source/destination) as before...
The configuration was the same on the sup2 and sup720...
ip accounting was cfg on the SVIs on both the core switches...

for my understand can only account outgoing packets but our customer
tell me that he saw out - incoming packets before my change....;-((

is there any main difference between sup720 and sup2 that can cause this
behaviour ??

thx all for your comments...
