Honestly, :-) it is proven (in my experience anyway) that NOT taxing your
body if at all possible. For about a month, I had so many pressures from
work, home, family, etc. while studying that I was using caffeine a ton to
keep awake and going during my 4+ hours each night. During this time, I was
getting frustrated because my mind kept bouncing and running around, not
being able to concentrate. Then my wife (the smart and sane one) recommended
that I just get more sleep. So, I have found a way to take a 30-60 min
(usually in my car) nap during the day and it has worked wonders for focus
and the influx of technical topics.
Just give your body what it needs and it will be your friend. It may be
difficult, but it will pay off - better than being a zombie wreck. Just my
opinion... YMMV.
