Fw: VTP Pruning

Hello SG,

sorry, somehow hit send accidently before I was done with my email.

Quick question about this command for 3550/3560:

 int f0/19
switchport trunk pruning vlan remove 100

I know what this does. Per the doc cd:

remove removes the defined list of VLANs from those currently set instead of
replacing the list. Valid IDs are from 1 to 1005. Furthermore, I know that
what this means is that although I may not have any ports that need vlan
100, don't prune that traffic, and send it anyway.

My question is, does it matter what side of a trunk I apply this command to?
My testing is showing no difference, so the question then is - which side
should I apply this to or should I apply it to both sides?

thanks in advance,
Dave
