That's BPDUFilter and not BPDUGuard. IF the command is used at the global
level, it's enabled on Port fast enabled interfaces, the command is as
follows:
Spanning-tree portfast bpduguard default
With BPDUGuard, if the port receives a BPDU, it transitions into
errdisable mode. There are basically couple things that you can do to bring
the port back to it's normal (forwarding) state, Shut and no shut, or
configure the port to automatically recover every so many seconds, as
follows:
errdisable recovery cause bpduguard
errdisable recovery inerval 300
In this case the port will automatically recover every 5 minutes (300
seconds) and if it sees another BPDU, it will transition into errdisable
mode, and the cycle repeats itself.
