If you are getting garbage characters, then I would suggest that you
check your speed to the router on the com port (hyperterminal). It may
be reset to the default. Then, you should be able to go back and reset
the config register. HTH

Subject: confreg big problem
Hi there,
I have a big problem with my cisco 2610 Router.
It worked perfect till I played around with confreg command from
rommonitor. I think I set the wrong values for configuration registers.
Now on HyperTerminal I get only garbaged ascii character. It is the same
problem as from a post I've read on this list:
cisco@groupstudy.com/msg92080.html">http://www.mail-archive.com/cisco@groupstudy.com/msg92080.html
Please let me know what can I do to get back the config-register.
I counld't find from that post I have Robert Massiache solved the
problem (if he has solved it).
Many thanks,
Lazarov
