I would heartily agree with your assessment!
Right after I obtained my CCIE last year I discovered Dynamips. I was
plugging around with it long before many in the newsgroup even figure out
what I was talking about. Some had played with it, but back then it wasnt a
whole lot of use, but it did work fine enough to try out commands and some
other stuff.
Getting back to the research..Play around with it, the resources are there
on the web and now that many other people are using them there is ample
amounts of data out there. I was able to explore far more with dynamips
after people in this group started using it. I tried it on different
operating systems; linux, BSD, 2003, XP, Vista, etc...with varying levels of
success. As the previous posted mentioned, have fun and learn by
searching..makes you a better engineer and a nice level of satisfaction.
