I would like to add that the 65xx line cards uses "classical" switch
fabric backplane, while the 61xx line cards uses the common bus of the
Cat6500. The common bus has total thru-put of 32Gbps (that is 16Gbps
full duplex and using marketing math :-) for the entire switch. The
switch fabric matrix has separate channel on the backplane between slots
(8 X 32 = 256Gbps total). The 65xx blades requires WS-F6K-DFC along with
Sup2 to enable the switch fabric mode. However, the 65xx blades are not
DFC3, hence, are not compatible with Sup720. In effect, the card 65xx
with Sup720, performs just like 61xx blades because it falls back to
using the common shared bus backplane. my 2 cents,

Tom

  See the following link:

You should also compare port buffers and queue support while taking
  into
account if it is an A series blade and if it is natively PoE.
