Hi every body,
Router4 is having OSPF Area 0 configures on its frame-relay link S0,
and its HDLC link S1. Requirements says that hdlc link shall only be
used if R4 looses connection to frame-relay.
The solution given by vendor is:
router ospf 1
network 149.1.45.4 0.0.0.0 area 0
int s1
ip ospf cost 9999
now I tried:
map-class frame-relay KEEPALIVE
frame-relay end-to-end keepalive bidirectional
int s0
backup interface s1
frame-raly interface-dlci 405
class KEEPALIVE
Now if I sutdown the s0 of R5 ro which this R4's frame-relay is
mapping to, R4 doesn't notice that? Isn't it the purpose of keepalive
to check if other end of frame-relay connection is up or not? And can
some one tell me the differenece betweeb bidirectional and reply modes
of end-to-end keepalive?
Regards,
Mohammad Zahed Saeed
