Brian,
Your explaination is great, thank you very much, I understand this,
but my question is:
end-to-end keepalives are configures on both FR interfaces on both
routers, now if I use backup interface s1 on R5 under S0, and shutdown
S0 of R4, R5 can bring the backup interface up and put S0.54 down, but
now if I use backup interface s1 on R4 under S0, and shutdown S0 of
R5, R4 can not bring the backup interface S1 up, is the difference
that we are using subinterfaces on R5 and if R5 puts S0.54 down still
it can listen to keepalives as its main S0 is up?
Regards,
Mohammad Zahed Saeed
