    I have not worked on the OSPF in real network.. May be for CCIE purpose we believe area range no-advertise can be used :)....

   Yes. I am reading SNRS book now. Thanks for the information.
  In the SNRS book, they have explained about the smurf attack.
   Or you can also refer Tim's mail in group study..
