The reason you won't find any reference is due to the nature of
the routing protocol. EIGRP does not rely on hop count but instead
it uses composite metric.
If you want to manipulate the composite metric, start by playing
with bandwidth and delay parameters on the interface or within
the EIGRP routing process.
