Jay,

        Technically this is an unsupported configuration so you'll see
some inconsistencies in the output. Inter-AS MDT only works in this way
if the PE routers servicing the VPN peer direct multihop EBGP VPNv4,
which is the case that you have. The new MDT address family removes
this restriction and is the "recommended" way to implement Inter-AS MDT.
